BEEF STEW
INGREDIENTS
- 45 ml oil
- 1.5 kg stewing beef bone-in
- 3 onions chopped
- 1 kg carrots chopped
- 4 celery stalks chopped
- 45 ml tomato paste
- 2 garlic cloves chopped
- 400 grams whole peeled tomatoes
- 250 ml stockpot beef
- 125 ml dry white wine
- 400 grams of white mushrooms
Maize Meal
- 500 ml milk
- 500 ml water
- 250 grams maize meal
- 400 grams whole kernel corn drained
- 30 ml butter salted
INSTRUCTIONS

Using a large pot, heat the oil and brown the meat.

Add the vegetables, except the mushrooms and fry.

Add the tomato paste and garlic fry for 3 minutes.

Add the beef, tomatoes, stock, and wine simmer for 1 ½ hour.

Add the mushrooms and simmer for 30 minutes or until meat is tender.

Bringing the milk and water to boil, stir in maize meal and simmer for 20 minutes, add corn to cook through.

Stir in butter and serve stew warm with maize meal.
